Call to halt the MCI project is “not an option” for the öh mci

Recently, the FP provincial party chairman called for the MCI new building project to be halted. For the Austrian student body at MCI, this proposal is not an option. “There’s no sugarcoating the fiasco surrounding the new MCI building and the provincial government’s mistakes in this regard. However, the MCI is currently bursting at the seams, which is why, for us at öh mci, an expansion in the form of a new building is the only viable option. The demand to halt the MCI project is therefore definitely not an option for us,” said öh mci Chair Julian Pfurtscheller.
“Students Are the Ones Who Suffer”: öh mci Continues to Call for a Prompt Start to Construction
The öh mci has repeatedly advocated in the past that this project should be implemented quickly due to the lack of space and the MCI’s current distribution across multiple locations. “We’ve been promised the new MCI building many times, but nothing has happened yet. It’s clear that we, the students, are the ones suffering the consequences of this debacle. The MCI is a renowned university whose students, due to the state’s failure, are not receiving the infrastructure they are entitled to. We continue to demand that action—not just words—finally be taken regarding the new MCI building,” Pfurtscheller concluded.
