We are here not only to offer advice and financial support to our students, but also to provide a wide range of services that make studying and life at our university easier.
As part of our commitment to an inclusive and supportive academic environment, we are pleased to offer free access to menstrual products in the women’s restrooms at MCI. We firmly believe that access to these basic necessities should not be a barrier.
In addition, we promote environmentally conscious mobility and offer our students free use of IVB city bikes in Innsbruck. Our goal is not only to help reduce individual carbon footprints, but also to provide access to a practical and sustainable mode of transportation.

Discount on Your Thesis
As you near the end of your studies, there’s just one thing left to do: your thesis.
To ensure that your presentation doesn’t let you down, MCI students receive a 10% discount from our partner , finito.at.

Mensabon for Students in Financial Need
Students who are facing financial difficulties can apply for a cafeteria pass through us. This pass provides discounted meals in cooperation with our partner, UniGast.
Requirements
You can apply for the Mensabon if at least one of the following criteria is met:
- Receipt of a Student Aid Grant
- Receiving benefits from the Federal ÖH or ÖH MCI social fund
- Monthly food budget under €200
Application & Process
Applications must be submitted in person at the office during business hours. On site, applicants must sign a form confirming that they meet one of the listed criteria. Once the application is approved, students will receive their personal QR code via email, which can then be redeemed on UniGast.
Free Condoms
The öh mci offers free condoms to MCI students. These can be picked up at any time during business hours at the öh mci office.
Discounted Rates on Rental Cars
The öh mci has recently begun offering more affordable car rental arrangements in cooperation with Europcar.
Rent Sports Gear & Equipment
We at the ÖH provide a wide variety of sports equipment that can be borrowed from our office during our business hours. The following sports equipment is available for loan:
- Volleyballs
- Basketballs
- Soccer balls
- Spikeball Sets
In addition, the öh mci has a variety of equipment, such as cameras and voice recorders, that can also be borrowed.

Free Use of City Bikes (IVB)
Starting September 1, 2023, MCI students can use the Stadtrad Innsbruck bike-sharing system at a discounted rate. What exactly does that mean?
Free menstrual products
We at öh mci believe that free access to menstrual products should be guaranteed, especially for students. For this reason, we have worked hard to finally make this pilot project a reality: Starting now, tampon and pad dispensers from the startup Periodically will be available in the women’s restrooms at all of our MCI locations.
